I’m Dee Crick, and I help ADHD and AuDHD adults regulate their bodies and minds, gain clarity on what matters most, and build simple systems that help progress stick.
For most of my life, I couldn’t understand why I sometimes struggled with things that were supposed to come easily, while I could handle objectively hard things with no issue.
I could hyperfocus on solving a problem when it was engaging. But other times I’d daydream rather than think about the ‘simple’ task at hand - and I couldn’t sustain some actions without burning out.
I fell into cycles of intensely solving one life area… only to watch another unravel at the same time.
Eventually — as a mom, navigating autoimmunity, marriage, career shifts, and building a new community thousands of miles from family alongside building a business — I hit burnout.
What followed was a late ADHD diagnosis.
And one life-changing realization:
I didn’t need fixing.
I was missing the right structures, support, and strategies to match how I was wired.
ADHD - Reality Differs From What We’ve Been Told
ADHD has long been framed as a deficit of attention.
But through modern science, it’s better understood as differences in regulation - of energy, emotion, attention, behavior, and nervous system states.
The same traits once labeled “disordered” —
intensity
originality
hyperfocus
nonlinear thinking
are often the exact traits behind innovation, leadership, and creative impact.
ADHD is not a character flaw.
But it is wiring that typically operates in environments that are not always designed for it.
However, when the environment matches or is built in partnership with your ADHD nervous system, and you deeply understand your wiring, everything shifts.

5 things I know to be true about adults with ADHD or AuDHD and responsibility…
1. They deserve support options that hold all of real life — busy seasons, low-capacity days, and responsibilities, like family life.
2. Nervous system regulation is foundational — without it, access to higher-level thinking and executive functioning disappears.
3. Mobilizing toward a goal requires emotional connection and meaning to those with ADHD - this often matters more than the consequences or rewards.
4. Executive function improves when to-dos are externalized, your spaces are designed to work with it and repeatable to-dos are systemized.
5. You can be ambitious with ADHD whilst maintaining well-being, core relationships, a home, career, and sense of self - but you have to work with your wiring.
